These cartridge fuses are designed to international (IEC) standards for worldwide use. They are available in cartridge and axial lead styles. They are ideal for protecting equipment and internal circuits from short circuits and overcurrent. They are intentionally weak components that melt when subjected to excessive current. After a fuse has blown, it must be replaced to restore the circuit and allow current to flow.
Features: Glass tube fuse (glass body, nickel-plated brass cap) Cartridge size: 5 x 20mm Rated speed: F RoHS compliant and lead-free Typical uses: Cartridge fuses are a relatively inexpensive way to protect electrical equipment from short circuits and overcurrents. They can be used to protect electrical equipment such as motors, air conditioners, refrigerators and pumps, and are used in the following places:
Industrial Commercial Residential/Domestic Automotive Additional Information: Why Choose a Glass Fuses Glass and ceramic fuses have similar characteristics. Glass fuses are best for smaller devices that don't draw high currents and don't blow regularly. The visibility makes it easy to tell if the fuse is blown.
Fuse Size Standard cartridge size is 5x20mm, approximately 20mm long and 5mm in diameter. This product is popular for board and panel protection and will fit into a compatible 5x20 fuse holder.
Fuse Speed This fuse has a speed rating of "F", meaning it is a fast acting fuse. They are designed to protect less sensitive components and are also used to protect wiring from melting or catching fire during overload conditions. All fast acting fuses are marked with the exact speed associated with various types of overload.
Applications of tube fuses Protect components and equipment from serious damage caused by overcurrent.
Isolates a subsystem from the main system in the event of a failure.
What is overcurrent?
A situation in which a circuit sees a current greater than its normal operating current.
What is breaking capacity? Breaking capacity is the level of current that a fuse can safely handle without exploding or bursting. The breaking capacity of a fuse must be greater than the fault current of the electronic circuit. This fuse is LBC (Low Breaking Capacity). Quantity: 1 bag (10 pieces)
