About FITC-Sinistrin
This is a new chemical substance that can be used as a marker substance in measuring renal function.
The polysaccharide sinistrin is labeled with the fluorescent substance fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC).
The wavelength at which FITC sinistrin in the blood emits fluorescence is measured by a fluorescence detector.
After administration, it is not metabolized in the body and there is no accumulation or reabsorption.
Compared to inulin, which is used in measuring renal function, it has extremely high solubility and is easy to experiment with.
It does not cause a drop in blood pressure after administration and provides reliable data.
