[Points to remember when writing]
- At the beginning of the assignment, have the child experience the difference between large and small hand movements by writing freely.
- When writing large letters, teach your child that writing with the side of his/her pinky finger raised above the paper will allow them to use their hand freely and make writing easier.
- When writing small, teach your child that it is easier to move the pencil if they place the side of their pinky finger against the paper to stabilize it.
・Have an adult hold your hand and try writing big and small.
[About pencils]
・For the first time, let your child use a pencil with a thickness of at least 4B. When the lines are thick, they will feel like they have written something and it will be fun to try.
・Make sure you write with the correct grip from the beginning. We recommend using a triangular pencil for this purpose.
- After using a pencil, put it away properly by yourself to develop the habit of tidying up.
