The gummy jelly is chewed 30 times, then spit out. The size of the bite pieces is compared with the chewing efficiency score method sample sheet, allowing for an 8-level score from 0 to 7. The portion size is halved for those with reduced chewing ability. Since the comparison is done visually, the evaluation can be easily performed.
