This is a constant current diode from SEMITEC. When a voltage is applied to both ends, a constant current flows regardless of the voltage. If used in place of a current limiting resistor for an LED, the brightness can be kept constant. In reality, the current is not completely constant, but changes like a resistor depending on the current rating and voltage. The current rating value is not as accurate as the resistance value of a resistor. Check the characteristics on the data sheet.
