The outer bent ring is made of durable and resilient cypress wood, while the bottom plate and top cover are made of Kiso sawara wood, which is less elastic and absorbs excess moisture easily. The bent ring is fastened with tanned cherry tree bark, which has been used since ancient times, for a genuine product. Since no metal nails are used, you can heat the rice in the microwave with it still in it.
