This is an IRLED mouse that uses a low-power infrared LED. Because it consumes less power than a mouse that uses Blue LED or laser, it can be used for approximately 2.5 years without needing to change the battery. It features a symmetrical design that allows you to hold it in any way you like. It has a resolution of 1200 counts for smooth operation. The wireless system uses the 2.4GHz band and can be used within a range of approximately 10m on non-magnetic surfaces, and approximately 3m on magnetic surfaces such as steel desks (according to ELECOM). It uses a micro receiver the size of a 1 yen coin that can be carried around while attached, so it doesn't get in the way when connected to the USB port of a laptop. The receiver can be stored inside the mouse body, making it convenient to carry and reducing the risk of losing the receiver.
