Clouds and fog can be easily created in an acrylic tank.
This is an experimental device that examines the formation of clouds and fog by relating them to changes in air pressure and temperature, as well as surrounding conditions.
You can easily conduct experiments by using the separately sold "Hand Suction and Exhaust Pump" (Cat. No. 146-477).
146-476P is a set that includes the CH-20 main unit and a dedicated hand suction and exhaust pump.
The formation of clouds is observed in a rectangular transparent acrylic tank with the pressure reduced, making it easy to see inside the tank.
The tank is divided in the middle, making it possible to simultaneously conduct comparative observations under different conditions such as humidity.
It comes with a barometer to indicate the conditions of occurrence and an LCD thermometer (sheet) for measuring temperature.
The liquid crystal thermometer is highly sensitive to changes in temperature. It clearly shows how the temperature drops by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius due to adiabatic expansion.
Experiments can be easily repeated.
Because this is a decompression experiment, you can intuitively understand how clouds form.
The phenomenon can be seen more clearly if you illuminate it from the side with a light bulb or other light source. Pressure gauge: -50 to 0 to +50 kPa
Observation tank: transparent acrylic, black back, size: W250×D118×H180mm (excluding lid)
Liquid crystal temperature sheet: 10 to 50°C (digital display in 2°C increments) x 2
Humidifying felt board: 1 piece
Vinyl tube for connection: Outer diameter φ11 x L700mm
Product code: 146-476
