This stethoscope is designed specifically for patients who require contact precautions. It is used to prevent cross-infection in situations where there is a high possibility of contamination with blood or body fluids. This stethoscope has sufficient acoustic performance for clinical use; when pressed firmly against the skin, high frequency sounds can be heard, and when pressed lightly, low frequency sounds can be heard. A special color has been assigned to distinguish it from ordinary stethoscopes.
