It has passed the needle resistance test F2878 established by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) with a resistance of 9N (Newtons). (This is the value when using a 20-gauge needle, which is mainly used for hypodermic injections.)
The SuperBlock Stop material is made of a dense Kevlar material with multiple layers of ceramic coating, which is a proprietary material developed by the manufacturer. This layered structure provides strong needle resistance even against thin and sharp objects such as injection needles.
