This is a reagent that quickly and easily extracts nucleic acid (RNA) from viruses in specimens. By mixing this product with a sample, the virus structure is destroyed and RNA is extracted. Samples treated with this product can be used directly as RNA templates for GeneSoC® dedicated reagents (sold separately). Aerosols generated during sample collection may cause template RNA to scatter into the testing environment, resulting in contamination. Therefore, samples should be collected in a room separate from the room in which this product is handled. When using this product, take measures to prevent contamination, such as wearing gloves and isolation gowns as necessary.
