Platform Cable USBⅡ is a download cable optimized for Xilinx's iMPACT software for writing FPGA circuit data. It is an upgraded version of Platform Cable USB. To use FPGA, it is necessary to write circuit data to flash memory, and a download cable is a dedicated hardware for that purpose. Platform Cable USBⅡ automatically detects the target I/O voltage and supports devices that operate at 5V (TTL), 3.3V (LVCMOS), 2.5V, 1.8V, and 1.5V. The Platform Cable USB II can connect to Xilinx FPGAs, PROMs, and CPLDs, as well as third-party SPI Flash devices, and can be used with applications such as Xilinx Embedded Development Kits and ChipScope Pro Analyzer. The Platform Cable USB II connects to a PC using a USB Type A to Type B cable. It is USB bus-powered and does not require an external power supply.
